Future Developments in Tourism

According to the World Tourism Organisation the travel boom will not only continue in the future but even increase. For the year 2020 the WTO expects 1.6 trillion international tourist arrivals (see figure 1 and 2).

Task: Describe figure 1 with the aid of figure 2. The following questions can support your thoughts: What is the prediction of tourist arrivals for each world region? In which region can you expect most of the increase? What do you think are the reasons for this development?
