AIR - Severe storms

Following cyclones, hurricanes and typhoons
Hurricane Charley made landfall in Florida on August 13th, 2004.
Charley was a destructive Category 4 storm that caused billions of dollars in damages, mostly in Florida and Cuba.
See how the water looks bright around the islands ?
This is because the wave action generated by the storm resuspended light-scattering sediments that were present on the sea-floor.
Question: How do satellite data enable to differentiate between types of clouds ?
